Biography
Paola Lettieri was born in Buenos Aires, where she lives. She works between Argentina and the United States, developing her work in series, in acrylic on canvas: Fractal, Infinito, Dislocación, Ciudad and Rock.
She continues her training with leading masters, among them Marino Santa María.
The work
Paola Lettieri’s painting moves between geometry and emotion. Her compositions are built from angular forms and modules that repeat, fracture and drift across the canvas, as if on the verge of falling into order or coming apart.
Repetition is never mechanical: it creates rhythm. Each segment works like a minimal note that, multiplied, produces a sense of vibration and movement. Color is not decorative but structural: saturated areas mark points of tension, while shifts in tone suggest depth or collapse.
Without using technology in her process, her compositions evoke the logic of coded repetition, filtered through the imperfection of the hand.
Statement
I work with the idea of dislocation, as if fragments were constantly reconfiguring. Reality feels like a structure that never fully stabilizes; there is always a margin of error, of movement, of displacement.
Each work begins with an intuition — a sound, a color, a fragment of rhythm — and evolves through repetition and displacement. Accidents are not corrected: they are absorbed into the language of the painting and open paths I had not foreseen.
Experimentation is not about seeking novelty but about keeping uncertainty alive.
